Untitled – Acrylic on Paper – 12 x 12 inches

There is a lot going on here, I know.  I’m really enjoying playing with the brayer and seeing what happens.  I used Liquitex Muted Grey and a Titanium White.  The grey has a blue bias which really comes out when the white is added to it.  I like using the liquid paints with the roller as I really don’t need to use too much paint.  Hope you enjoy it!

I took all of my rescued paintings off of my dining room wall and hung up all of my newly framed paintings.  I did say there was some glare!  I think my picture framer did a great job.

I’ve been looking at these paintings to see which ones I like best, but having diverse tastes means that I like them all so finding my ‘style’ is going to be a challenge.  I also enjoyed creating all of them.  There is something for every mood!

In honor of Valentine’s Day I decided to paint something with a theme, of sorts.  I used three colors here: Mars Black, Titanium White and a metallic blue.  Unfortunately the metallic blue doesn’t photograph well.  There is a bit of a shimmer in the blue I like that you can’t see here.  I am enjoying painting with the black paint and another color, especially blue.

I mentioned that I was having a bunch of paintings framed and I got them back this weekend.  I have them all on my dining room wall.  I think they look great.  However, I can’t photograph them due to massive glare.  I did not use anti-glare glass as it is expensive.  As it was, I spent over £200 on framing and mounting 16 paintings and mounting 2 paintings wrapped in cellophane.   As great as they all look, I can’t justify framing any more paintings at this time, only mounting them ready to be framed.  If I ever end up selling my work, it will be easier to ship if they are mounted only.  (It might happen one day.)  In the meantime, I will just carry on painting!
