Some More Intuitive Painting

Standard

IMG_3467Untitled – Mixed Media on Canvas Board – 10×12 inches

There are days that I really don’t know what to name a piece, so I have given up trying!  I haven’t painted for a couple of weeks as I spent some time with my daughter last weekend.  It was Mothering Sunday here in the UK.  Although I didn’t paint, we did go and see some art at The Towner Gallery and at The Birley Centre here in Eastbourne.

This painting came about by accident.  I was doing an exercise with some colors that I like – just putting them on the canvas board in a very random way.  Then I put it aside for a couple of months hoping I might find some inspiration to take it further.  I bought some lovely wrapping paper at The Towner that I thought I might use in some collage work and decided to use some here.  There was no plan and this is the end result.  I like the colors.  I used a Liquitex Acrylic black pen for the first time.  I initially purchased it for signatures, but it is really great for drawing, so I may get a few more.

Thanks for stopping by!
