A Sunny Day in December!

For the last two weeks I have had the pleasure of driving along the seafront on the way to work.  The reason I say pleasure is that there are no two days alike, so I get to see something different every day!  That certainly makes the drive to work more interesting.  It isn’t practical, or safe, to pull over on the side of the road to take a photo of the frost covered fields, or the beautiful sunrises – but I managed to get out for a walk last Sunday and the weather was glorious!  So, here are some reasons why I love where I live so much.

No post about where I live would be complete without a photo of The Pier.  I love it!  As you can probably see, some other people love it too, because they are doing some work on it!  Look at that wonderful sky, and the flat sea!

What would the seaside be without a few fishing boats to look at?

Or a few lobster pots and fishing nets?

Or the annual Santa Fun Run?

The day might have been a bit nippy, but it was sunny and with no wind!  We finished our walk with a gorgeous sunset and the starlings doing their magic over The Pier. 🙂

Random Photos of My World

It was a glorious Spring day on Sunday!  So, I went for a walk with my ‘big’ camera for a change and this is what I saw…

Hearts and Rainbows!

Before I actually went out, this is what I saw.  I see the hearts every morning as they live over my bed, but the rainbows I only see when the sun is shining.

More Rainbows
Lilacs

As well as being one of my favourite colours, Lilacs are one of my favourite flowers.  I just wish that they would last longer than they do.  I just love the smell of them and they remind me of my childhood.

Anemones
More Anemones

I just love the colours!

Towards Beachy Head
Making Friends

These two pups were having a great time together.  It was a joy watching them and it made everyone smile that walked past.

Three Boats
The Eastbourne Pier
Bandstand Renovations

The upside to the renovations taking place is that all the concerts will be free on the beach! 🙂

Tulips
Red

I don’t know what these shrubs are, but one can see them everywhere.  I love how the top part of the shrubs are red with the new growth and the rest of it is green.

So, what did you see on Sunday?

A Fine Spring Day

Spring is definitely in the air.  Some days, the weather can’t make up its mind what it wants to do.  Sometimes we get a little bit of everything.

Last Sunday, was a beautiful day.  I went for a walk on the seafront.  Looking towards Beachy Head, there was hardly a cloud in the sky.  Looking towards The Pier, there were masses of clouds.  It didn’t even rain! 🙂

It was a beautiful day for sailing and there were many people walking on the seafront.  There was a lovely breeze and you could taste the sea air.

Wednesday evening, I walked along the seafront after work.  Although we can’t actually watch the sunset over the water, we do get a lovely light in the sky as the sun is going down.

It would be great if we could have sunsets like these every evening.
